if the fungicide is suitable for use on potable water systems I would be extremely surprised to find that it was even potentially harmful. And if it is suitable for potable water it is 100% fish safe.

Except that the thread refers to pipes and fittings for central heating systems which I guess is not potable water although I'm no expert. I personally would have no reservations about anything designed for drinking water but I am not so sure about central heating systems.

AFAIK ( and I work in the construction industry and do a considerable amount of plumbing) there are no WRAS approved pipework systems for domestic work that are specifically designed for heating systems alone.

all the big players:- hepworth, polypipe, speedfit, floplast are suitable for both potable and heating... any pipe not suitable for potable water would need to be marked as such.

Thanks for that however given the warning and the clear threat to fish health as advised by other fishkeepers I personally will be giving them a miss. Hep20 22mil barrier pipe and fittings have worked very well for me and as such I will continue to use them when I expand my fish-house in the summer - only this time I will check the manufacturers spec for added fungiside just in case this is becoming a manufacturers trend....!!
