hi
i got a pink xenia yesterday just a little frag on a piece of LR i opened it to see if it was ok and it looked a bit worse for ware but i still tryed to give it a go so i accumulated it a bag floating for 30mins to get it to temperture then i placed it in a bucket and dripped water from the tank for 2hours after an hour it started to look a bit better and after the 2 i placed it in the tank. The xenia never opened up and i placed it a area where it was getting blasted about i left it over night and i woke up this morning and i could see that most of the top of it had gone and just the stalk attached to the LR i got a pic below also i checked
parameters they are as followerd

ph 8
nitrite 0
nitrate 10
ammonia 0
kh 9
phosphate 0.25ppm
calcium 420ppm

Despite the fact that xenia is pretty indestructable once established, it can be a poor traveller and in some tanks never 'does' at all. Mine hates a strong flow, which is how I stop it spreading! If you put it in a low flow area it should start regenerating its heads in a week or so, hopefully.good luck

thanks mate i will move it as it gets a little blast and see how it goes thanks again

Mine didnt open up fully under high flow either. I moved it to med/low flow and it has almost doubled in size in just over a month!

good luck with yours mate
