well the weather has gotten warmer out and me and my mom took put pup out with use while we were raking up the pine cones. while we were doing this she laid down in the dirt and unbeknown to use pine pitch pellets that the trees had thrown.
does anyone have a way to easily remove pitch from the coat of a lab, that makes it so she doesn't freak out?

try some cooking oil on a paper towel or washcloth for a "natural" agent. i know that mineral spirits takes it right off (i used to use pine tar a lot on various boats ive worked on and mineral spirits takes it RIGHT off, but i dont know if you would feel comfortable using it on your dog. its safe if you wipe it off when youre done. nail polish remover may work as well).
if all else fails-scissors and cut it out of the fur.
cheers

Be very careful with any chemicals you use as most can cause eye and skin irritation. I would suggest if using chemicals on the dog to give the dog a bath ASAP when you're done.
