thinking of getting a pair
of dwarf pike cichlids but
which ones i would like to
hears your suggestion as to
what to get

Totally depends on your set up. More information would help pick a suitable one - if there is one.

I like regani personally.

Also, why does your post only go a couple of words then start a new line?

this as got me lost ???

i have kept regani in the past
and fancy keeping them again i
have two tank options st opt is
a3x18x18 2nd opt is 4x18x15 both
i was wanting to go down the planted
rout and go with an external filter
and power head rout for water movement

I was just trying to say that depending on your tank (you might have had it set up with other fish) different pikes would be better suited. Or none at all if you had incompatible fish.

A pair of regani would be fine in a 3ft tank. Ample room in the 4ft tank (though 1 pair only I would imagine due to their aggressive nature).

If you have had regani in the past and liked them I see no reason why you couldn't have them again. A planted dwarf pike tank sounds good to me. Another species if you can find it could be Crenicichla notophthalmus, which I think looks better than the regani - though I have never seen them for sale.

Ps. I now understand the formatting of your text. Would it be easier for you in future if I remember to put my replies in a similar way?

saw some nice regani yesterday
at paddock farm i am still thinking
about getting some but did think there were
a bit on the expensive side at £19.00 a fish
i think just over an inch and a half :hyper:
