Well thank you all for this VERY interesting thread.....My posts usually flop! Well my little 28lt with its pathetic filter has been axed and replaced with a 34 ltr with a canopy filter crammed with mature media going spare from main tank. Still cycling though, about a week to go I'd say.
What do you think, will the pigmy corys like it....(the airstone is only to keep aeration up as temp is high to assist cycling, will be removed)

I cannot take credit for it though. In my LFS they had this set up in a tank the same as mine. I wanted it but they were out of stock so they took the pieces out of the tank and let me have the lot for a fiver
