Pictus Catfish seems to be dying

I’ve had my catfish for a year. Today it cannot swim correctly and is on its side, the only thing I’ve recently added is a few guppies but that was over a month ago. The only thing I do to the tank is clean the algae off the glass about every 2 weeks. What could cause this?

When you say the only thing you do to the tank is clean the glass, does this mean you are not doing any water change or cleaning the substrate?

Can you post water parameters? Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate.

How large is your tank? I think this type of catfish gets pretty big so it's not going to do well in a small tank.

Is it getting enough to eat? You added guppies a month ago. Are they getting the food before it reaches the bottom?
