Looks good the mistake both my sister and i made was to build a nice looking reef but when we started adding corals realised we didn't have places to put the corals safely ...........
The two main things I would say when aquascapping is (as seffie said) try to leave spots for corals later on (especially considering some come on fairly large chunks of LR) and make sure you leave enough room between the sides of the tank and the rock to get a magfloat around there to clean the glass.
I like it too
Ran into the "scraping algae issue" with my large freshwater cichlid tank. Was cleaning the glass in the back of the tank and knocked over some rocks Could've been bad if they were heavy enough and hit the glass just right.
well thought out and you have obviously looked ahead.
On the Live Rock side - keeping the rock away from the sides is good for the keeping the glass clean issue, however, one of the most important reasons for keeping that space is for the water flow too. You seem to have done this.
Thank you very much! This is my first tank I have kept. Its 2 months old now. Thanks for the tip on water flow, I was unaware. I kept the rock off the viewing sides to clean mainly.
I am having a huge problem keeping my sand clean though, its very brown and dirty. I have a sand starfish but he is very small and doesnt help much! I dont supose any of you have any expert tips for creatures do you? I was thinking of a sea cucumber.
