Nice tank, though i agree interesting aray of fish. Maybe if you bought some fake or real tall plants and put them in the corner to give the bala some cover he wouldn't be so skiddish.

Well I decided to take all the plants out, cichlids kept digging them up lol And yeah, I love SG1! Just got back from burbank where they had the last convention, the wife and I got pictures with some of the cast members, very cool experience!!!

Yeah I tried, and it stopped all of em with the exception of the Cobalt Blue, he is like a crazed minor, Ive never seen a fish dig like him. Digs holes everywhere lol

No Ive actually had him about 6 months, I know when I put him in there the RTS chased him around mercesilly like he is doing with the jack right now. I know the auratus have a bad rap, but he has worked out great so far.

he wont have reached maturity yet. give it another 6 months.


you might be ok if the other fish have got a good start on the growing but i was warned not to put mine with my oscar lol.

when mine went psycho i sed on here i could put him in with my oscar since he was so much bigger i thought the might curb his enthusiasm if you kno what i mean lol.

i was told he wouldnt give up tho and hed probably terrorise my oscar, thats what i meant.

You know what, I wish you could see it in person, the pictures do it no justice at all, looks spectacular in person Anyway I used an air curtain bubble wall just like the one in this picture on the link below only longer for the 6ft tank:

Not sure where you are from but most of my local fish stores carry them in blue and black, black looks much better. My old pump didnt put out enough air to make the bubbles work so Im running this one:
