Hey,

Thought i'd post up here about my little plakat Roland. He lives in a 2 gallon tank and me, trying to be nice and failing miserably ( ) thought id see how he liked living in my 2ft tank for a while. I watched him for about 15 mins and everything was fine, went away for a phone call and when i came back half an hour-ish later another fish had nipped off all of his fins Obviously, he went straight back into the two gallon and somehow he managed to stay alive!! Poor little thing...

Anyway, this was Roland about a month ago after his fins had actually grown back a bit

And this was him a couple of weeks ago. His fins seem to be growing back really well and he's doing fine now Sorry for the terrible pic... Dirty glass again!

Anyway, i think i'll definately be keeping all of my bettas in their own tanks!! Luckily Roland is fine but i'd hate to think what would have happened if i had left him in any longer

I was actually planning on breeding Roland. He may be too old now but i might give it a try when he's all healed, just cos i love him!

Awww, poor Roland, but nice to see his fins have grown back now

He's just like my new copper/gold plakat Shoopuff (named by my son from Final Fantasy )

Have you any sepcific female in mind to spawn him with? how old is he? I think breeders go up to around 6-9 months old when breeding

Thanks He is a beautiful colour which is why i wanted to breed him! He's also my oldest and such a cutie! he takes food from my hand and his little tank is next to my bed so everymorning when i wake up and turn the light on i get a little wiggle-dance from him! SOOOO cute!

He's about 18 months old though so im not sure i will be able to breed him... Will have to wait and see! Im keeping a lookout for the perfect girl for him just incase!

Wow, he is sure cute! I love metallic plakats (I have one myself ) Poor baby. At least your taking good care of him. Those fins will be better in no time!
