I got myself another clown this week too.

Also a TMC tank bred clown from my LFS - £9.99

I guess your LFS is hammering the profit on !

haha yehh. tomorrow im going to this place where they sell them for 7.95 but i dont know if there tmc tank bread.
do you think i could get a cleaner shrip in there
how big is your clown.
if anyone has any pics of there clowns of any type plz post them

because i have one of these things what is made out of wood and you clip it on to the end of your air pipe and it makes realy fine bubbles and fills the tank
now can someone answer my quiestion.
can i have a shrimp in my 6 gal nano

Thankyou mate!

I have the same tank which is currently being used for cory fry to grow on with, so it is conceivable that i could house a pair of common clowns in a 28 litre aqua one 320.

I can see you have the under gravel filtration hooked up, do you have any live rock in the tank, or are you relying on traditional nitrifying bacteria to build up in the substrate? The flow from the powerhead for the ugf is quite strong, so do you think a second one would be necessary? It looks like you've modified the outlet of the powerhead through a sponge of some kind?

Slight hijack i know. You might be able to house a shrimp with the clown, i would stick to the cleaner shrimp myself, nothing too vicious in such a small tank.

yes its an aqua one 320. im not sure about a pair of commons but one common would most certainly be ok. i have an internal and the power head in there. over the power head is a mature sponge a guy gave to me from my lfs to cycle the tank quicker. Yes i do have live rock in the tank

id say go for it. get a clown fish. this is my first marine tank and the clownie loves it il get some more pics up soon. people say smaller tanks are harder to maintain but if yor carful and have spare time then its easy if you only have hardy fish in the tank.
i was orriginaly going to get 2 four striped damsels but found out that they are territorial and two would not be good in that sized tank anyway.
pm me if you want to ask me any more questions

here are some pictures i took about 5 mins ago and if anyone has any pics of their clown fish what ever type or size it is post them.

its realy hard to take an unblury pic of him because he always moves lol

i think that you put wooden airstones inside like an air driven skimmer. Having lots of bubbles around the tank, especially fine ones can cause the bubbles to gather around fish's gills or in soft bodied invertibrates. In some cases thiscan cause the animal to die. Apart from that its a cracking tank, and tis a lovely clownfish

:)

also id say you probably could have a shrimp in a tank that size but your probably be looking at things like peppermint shrimp or sexy shrimp because they are small.

ur tanks looking good so far :) i would loose the air bubbles, these cause water to evaporate quicker too...

Also ur rock doesn't look to live :S

Will be interesting to watch your tank progress as its just a bit smaller than mine :D
