And he can't quite close his mouth all the way for some reason. Is this something I should be worried about? He eats just as much as my other boys and just as easily.

Oh yea, he also has blue eyes.

A few of my boys don't close their mouth all the way either.
I just chalked it up to taking after their mother who doesn't know how (or when) to shut her mouth.

But seriously - some of my boys have it, they've never had any problems with it so I wouldn't worry about it.

Okay thanks! His upper lip is just very short and cannot touch the bottom lip so it cannot close at all, even if he wanted to. I was kind of worried as none of my other boys ever had that problem. They only open their mouths when the syringe goes into the water full of frozen food.

He is beautiful. I think I might be in love . I love his mouth, it is adorable. I am sure he will be very happy with you. The last picture looks like he is coming at you for a kiss. Does he have a name yet?

Awww I would name him Puck because he looks like he is puckering up for a kissy! He is SO pretty! Dang it why wont my guppies die so I can use their tank for more bettas!!! Just kidding of course! I love all my babies.

I know, he has black scales and orange scales so my mom thought he looked like a checker board and she pointed him out to me and I fell in love. He has black around his mouth so it looks like he is wearing black lipstick. He doesn't have a name yet, but Puck sounds cute! I am not sure what I should name him.

I like Puck too. You could go with Frank ('ol blue eyes) or Pumpkin. Puck tops my list though

I know. They have been getting some really neat color strains in the pet stores now. Like I got my white boy at walmart and then the same week they had like 5 white boys at petsmart and a whole bunch of white females at pet supermarket. And then I got my orange boy with the spots and whe I went to petsmart like a few days ago there were atleast 5 of his coloration. It was pretty cool not to see all reds and blues like I usually do. Maybe more people will be attracted to the different colors.

Flame looks just like him..i am not sure but i think i was one of the first few to get this coloration..i got mine at petco around holloween . it was either him or a very clean coloured opaque crowntail(i think i had space for both damn!) so i got him..i was going to name him Tigger but then i thought he was agressive he deserved the name flame. hes my favorite not to mention my second oldst (Amy is the oldest ani was but he/she died)he isnt picky or messey he is what i call polite (he eats one pellet calmly chews and swallows LOL)
