Thanks to all the great info here, I took the plunge so to speak and converted my established 10 gallon to a planted tank.

10 gallon tank
19 w bulb All-Glass Aquarium 20"
AquaClear 20 gal cascade filter
Eco-complete substrate w black gravel cap
5 neon tetras with more to come when LFS restocks
2.5 nerite snails
5 tiger shrimp
1 rubberlip

the tetras have been skiddish recently, theyre still hiding
the tiger shrimp are going nuts
rubberlip is doin his thing
snails are.. snails..

one is 1/3 the size of a grain of rice (he rode in on the plants)
