Okay so I got the digital camera from my boyfriend's house today and decided to take some pics.

Angus (My oldest boy)

His bubble nest (He has never made one, this is his first one. This is his third day on maracyn 2 (from Bettamomma) and he finally is happy enough to make a bubble nest!

Sorry about the glare, it is hard not to get a glare on his bowl because it is rounded and there is a light behind it.

"What do you think you're doing near MY bubble nest?!"

His tail is looking amazing!

OoOOoooh - he looks kinda like Lucky!
But WITH a tail! heh
He's adorable! :)

Very nice bubble nest he's got going there - He must be happy!

I just posted the better pics. Think I will stop photographing them as they seem a little annoyed with me right now.

Nice pics, this might sound like a stupid question as i have never kept betta's but when they flare at you what does it mean.

I don't know exactly what it means, but I am guessing it is to scare off oponants or something like that. They flare when they see another male and often with other fish. I guess it makes them look more "scary" and more of a threat to the other fish. :dunno:

Thanks just curious what it meant. abit like cats then when they bush there tails out.

Wilder, they're either trying to show off for you, or intimidate you into thinking they're bigger and stronger.

Raech, they're gorgeous! :hyper: You didn't tell me that they were that pretty. :sly:
 They still need names. I was thinking about calling him Cotton Candy...but I think he may hate me a lot more if I give him a name like that. :p Although, he is the most docile out of my 3 males. He flares the least anyway. Although, he's my only male that has ever flared at me.

I think Angus is trying to compete with the new boys. I've always wanted one of my boys to make a bubble nest, but Angus was always in a tank with a strong current and then he got a bad case of finrot so he never got around to making one. Then when I brought "cotton candy" home, he made a small bubble nest the next morning (I destroyed it with the gravel vac by accident :/ because it was time for their water change) so I was all excited and telling everyone about "Cotton Candy"'s bubble nest. I think Angus heard me boasting about "Cotton candy" and figured, "Hey I can make a bigger and better bubble nest than him!" So I woke up to a large bubble nest in his bowl. I am so proud of him!

Not too keen on cats 'normal' behavior as all my cat does is lay in the window and sunbath. :p

I call my fancy goldfish tweetie pie love that name.

They aren't bettas, but I just had to use my last pic for Toggle and Woggle. They follow each other around everywhere.

Yea, he had a grey patch on one of his sides and now that is gone. Then he got a bad case of ich and he is over with that as well. He sure came along way since I bought him about a month ago. Here are some more pics if you want to look at them:
