I got one that looked just like that when I got him then in about 24 hours the pinkish color turned red, and the green got really darker. I wanted a pastel fish but got another colorful one. What other fish do you have in your community tank? Just a little warning keep an eye on him he can be a bully or get bullied easy. Have a back up plan even if it is a bucket temporarily.

Hes in with 2 opaline gourami, 3 angels, 2 yoyo's and 6 tetras.

How large is the tank? Tetras are notoriously nippy, and I have an opaline...she's mean as ever! Opalines are very territorial. I would not put your lovely new companion in that tank. He will be bullied, or worse - killed. Set up a small tank all his own!

The tank is a 3ft 150l - 39 u.s gallon well planted.

All the fish are young, angels - 1", and gouramis - 2", my gouramis are very docile.
They all checked him out and now pay no attention to him.
