Feather dusters can survive without direct feed. Everytime you do a water change, just stir up the sand bed (assuming you have 1) near the duster and as dusters are filter feeders, they will just syphon the stirred up water and eat any floating particles worth eating! I have a few and do this and have never had to feed them directly and they seem to be doing just fine!![]()

How long have you had them?
It's my understanding while the dwarf featherdusters which sneak in as hitchhikers are hardy and need no special care, any of the large-sized ones slowly starve to death over a period of six months to a yea.r
