Hi can anyone tell me how to keep my ph stable ........from the tap its about 7.6 in the tank i got it to around 7.0 but now 14 days later it has gone down to around 6.0 any help plzzzzzzzzz

what type of decorations have you got in the tank?

There must be something in your tank....decoration, too much food, levels incorrect.....etc that is making your ph drop that much!

Normally I say to leave the PH stable but 6.0 is a little low.

bog wood plastic plants ......i did soak the wood for about 5days ....its not tanning the tank

I would guess its the bogwood as this usually brings down the PH. Can you get the KH level of your water? If you dont have the test kit for this take it to the LFS and ask for the exact KH reading. WHen the KH drops the PH also drops. Also if the KH is low and the bogwood attempts to bring down the PH it will suceed, where if the KH is higher it will not be able to bring it down as the Higher KH will hold the PH level where it is. bet you thats your culprit! Try taking it out, doing a 50% water change and wait a week, if your ph still drops then put it back in.

ok i dont have a KH test kit so i will go to my lfs and get them to do the test for me .....thanks for the advice ...
