Thats a good pH, id be happy with that. I did a 50% water change today because i forgot to change water yesterday as im having ammonia problems. My pH went upto 6.8 after the water change, il check again tonight to see if its gone down (probably will).

Which Juwel tank do you have? And is this where you have the bag of coral:

On the top of the sponges/media where the water is taken in?

Yeap thats the one, dont know if its the right place but it works and is easy to get too.

Not sure about your location but aragonite is widely available from fish shops in Australia. I was told by my LFS that it's more effective than corals in raising my PH but after 24 hours my PH has only risen from 6.4 to 6.8...and I put 1 kg in my canister filter.

So that means we have a KH value of 1? tap water also tested the same.

That would be correct. Same as mine. When I first got my kit, I tested about 5 times thinking I was doing something wrong since it never went to blue.

I did exactly the same thing. I thought it was a dodgy water test kit but instead it was dodgy water.
