Ph Question

My tap is naturally 6.8 and using coralife salt and a salinity of 1.022, the ph is raised to 7.9. I shoot for about 8.1 {8.1-8.3 is the ideal range} You can use baking soda {you wll have to play with the amount} or a buffer like from Kent or Seachem that supposedly "safely raises pH". Those are the options Ive heard of. But yes, the salt will raise to the ideal or almost ideal range. Also, Ive heard that a salinity of 1.024, as opposed to 1.021 will naturally have a higher pH, but I havent found this to be noticeably true. Maybe you could test out a couple different salts and see which does it the best. And remember to always use a hydrometer when doing water changes! {IDK y i said that, but it is important so u dont freak out the animals lol}
