As anyone tried using a ph adjuster and if they have how did they find it, as my ph is a bit on the low side for my goldfish and I am a bit warey of adding things to the tank but thought I should try to bring the ph which is roughly 6.3 - 6.4 up a bit. I have one fish already turn white and another half way, this I think being down to the low ph.

Thanks :)

have you thought about trying bottled water ? mineral water will often alter the ph of your tank, becouse of the high content of minerals ,you could try a few tests and see if one will give you the required levels then theres no need to add a chemical adjuster :hyper:

Thanks :) The only problem is my tank is 454 litres so thats a lot of bottled water :p

You could install a RO unit normally used for getting softer water but you can use it the other way round. But you don't know how lucky you are living in a soft water area, that so many other fish love. :)
