Oh, and I personally think 'N' will stand the best chance of doing well. They are all obviously excellent but in terms of photography and "artistic impression" I believe this is the sort of thing the judges will be after. Just my thoughts.

I have a very hard time trying to pick a personal favourite. The more I study the less I am certain. But 'N' jumps out - big time.

mate, your avatar pic is awesome and the last "pearling glosso" one you should certainly submitt those.

any chance of posting the full pics i dont think you have ever put the big versions online. i love the current avatar, what a rare occurance a flowering anubias and a photogenic amano shrimp. quality

The shrimp/flower photo is too small as it was taken with a 2MP camera.

If I do send in any it will be just the one, a whole tank photo taken a while back - touched up a bit.

If I'm honest I think you stand the better chance but it is so hard to view one's own work objectively in these circumstances.

then why don't you add a fish to the last picture... people are saying about how that picture is great but it need's a fish... so why not add one! A Tetra would look great there! - It's just an idea...

I'd go for A and H.

A because the cory's colours provide a good constrast to the green background of the java fern.

And H, because I like the hues of the angel. Was that what you photoshopped?

I'm not a fan of plecos, but I love how that photo jumps out. The contrast between the light parts (riccia) and the dark parts (pleco and some parts of the background) catches one's eye. Well, my eye at least

dont let me put you off, they are doing a readers pics every month for a while so there's lots of chances for your pics to be selected.


i dont actually have photoshop just an image editing thing that came with my printer. the angel pic has been "auto enhanced" whatever that means, nothing too technical.

They are amazing.. i dont think theres much point in me entering now looking at those!!

you can enter up to 7 pics i think, they are printing a form in every issue till the final at FFK in october. although you can submit a photocopy of a form so i guess you could enter all of them! lol

I think it would be easier for me to pick which one I wasn't as crazy about and that would have to be G. Not that it isn't nice, but the other pics are (to me) just stunning. So that's the one I wouldn't send. Take your pic out of the rest 'cause they're all winners in my book!

N is the most poetic, and the close up of the cardinal tetra is so detailed..... and the one of the german ram beneath the cover of plants is so calming...... You should be very proud-- you have some gorgeous photos and tanks. It's more than one tank, right?

There's plenty of people on here who are very good with photoshop. You should ask one of them to do it for you.
