This story is very cool. I hope Stumpy, or whatever his name is (since I am pretty sure the store staff will have named him) pulls through.

This is what happens when someone that really cares about animals, even fish, gets a job at one of these places. I hope his commendation and inspiration show other employees how they should do their jobs.

Hurray for Matt, the Manager, and Stumpy!

And Hurray for Petsmart for getting BettaBarracks at all their stores. I wonder how long it will take until mine gets one. It isn't a very old store, just about a year or 2. I can't wait. Not only will that be better for the bettas, it will make it easier to see the bettas when shopping. Right now it is a pain in the tookus having to move cups around back to front, and over side to side, etc.

ooh, I am far away from that store, but will be visiting Chandler this winter (as always) and I'm looking forward to seeing it! My petsmart is ok, the people are knowledgable, tanks spotless, fish healthy (except for the feeders) but they only have about 30 bettas all in the little cups, but otherwize well taken care of. If I go today (it is a hellufa bike ride) I will ask if they are thinking about instaling something like this, I don't think they have room though. Is this store also a Stateline tack? I think I might have been there last year when I was buying my first bridle and that place was gigantic!

I have to laugh, as many times as I've been into that store I've never gone anywhere other than the fish section! I'll look to see if they have an equine section next time I go!

I haven't had a chance to swing by there today but hopefully I'll have a few minutes before I leave for work tonight.

i went to my local petsmart yesterday and they also had the betta barracks! i am soo impresed i got 3 fishes lol. they all seemed tyo be very active, healthy, and happy! i am VERY impressed!!!!

Last night on my way to work I managed to stop by the store, it was 5 minutes before closing so I didn't get to spend a lot of time. Little "Stumpy" was still in his little tank on the fish cart and Matt very proudly picked him up and pointed out that he's already got some regrowth of his fins! He was real perky and friendly as well, obviousley he's getting well taken care of.
