I know as a rule we don't like these big general pet stores, but in December last year my boyfriend bought me my 60 litre Tetra AquaArt tank from Pets At Home as a starter, and I was chuffed to bits. Here we are in October, and my lid has busted, so the light no longer works. I went into the shop to buy a new bulb, just in case the replacement I had already bought was faulty as well (unlikely I know!) but I mentioned in passing to the manager that I wondered if it was the lid itself. She said that's a possibility, and said instantly without me having to ask that I could bring the old lid back and they would swap it for a new one, no problem. I was hoping that would be the case, but I guessed I would at least had to have asked first! I took my lid back today after phoning them to check they had a new one in stock, and the new one was wrapped in bubble wrap, waiting at the tills for me to collect! I just thought I'd share this story so that anyone with only a Pets At Home store nearby need not fear bad service, even if they do know very very little about fishkeeping!

:D

Thats surprisingly good of them lol! Most LFS do as long s the itmes stilll on gurantee :good:

i think they are a good shop, but they dont employ staff that know anything about the animals :( i thought about applying for the fish section, but i would just get fired for not selling fish to people who have just bought a tank at the same time
