Petri's Trick -- Video

Yeah ok fine, I made a new thread for this since the old one isn't getting much traffic
Those of you who own birds know it's hard to get them to do much of anything on command because they're going to do what they want to do, so I'm quite proud of this. Petri will do anything for sunflower seeds, but I've got to lay off on the training because now he's getting a bit pudgy from having too many of them

The point is for him to touch the disk. We've now begun working on him taking the disk on command, but he isn't good at that one yet. Later I'll teach him to give me the disk and try to teach him colours.

Haha, yeah really pica! He is a thousand times better now though and won't normally bite unless you make a quick movement close to him that he wasn't expecting. Aggressive biting is a really hard habit to break once they have learned it, so I'm proud of how far my little man has come
(For those of you who don't know the story, he was already aggressive when I got him... no bird of mine is going to learn that behaviour from me!!)
