so now that I'm pumping out my water change water, and have a fitting made for gravel vacuuming...
I have a tank, with polished river rock, 1 inch diameter, that has a pest snail problem ( yes, it's related to over feeding ) ... my pump has a cleanable screened filter to protect from sucking up things that could damage the pump... If I went around and sucked up the pest snails, as part of my water changes, I would fill up the filter right away, with snail shells, so I'm thinking a vacuumed chamber, that acts like a shop vac, that would allow the collection of the snails, without immediately plugging up my pumps prescreen... giving this a little thought this morning over caffine

A Cyclone Snails Collector.

would be very easy to make with a 1 gallon pail.
