Personal Messaging

Hi, I'm new on these forums. Up until now I've been able to figure out most of the features of this forum except for the PM system (Private messaging, personal messaging.. whatever you choose to call it). I received a notification that a forum member has started a "personal conversation" with me yet when I attempt to join it I get an error message stating that I cannot use this feature (yes I'm logged in ). Anyone ever have a similar issue with this feature?

The help section says that I can access "personal conversations" by clicking on the messenger tab next to my name whenever I'm logged on. However I do not see such a tab on my page(s).

Do I have have to make a certain amount of posts on the forums before I'm allowed to use this feature? I know this is the case on some of the other forums I am a member of & I'm wondering if the same applies here.

Any light that can be shed would be greatly appreciated.

There is a post minimum, I overrid that for you, so you should have PM access now. We have had issues in the past with spammers using our PM system, thus the need to institute a post minimum.

Ahh OK, that's what I figured but I wasn't sure. I can see you guys having an issue with spammers abusing the PM system this being an active forum with a lot of members & traffic.

You need to have reached 10 posts before you can access the PM system
