Perpertually Pooping Platy

i got a platy a couple of days ago that seems to poop almost non-stop despite not actually eating much (mainly because the danios in my tank are total pigs).
it comes in like long strands and is usually dark but can also be light. the fish seems perfectly happy and active and i don't think that there's anything wrong with him, i was just wondering what could be going on.
it's a female and she still looks a little plump.

any ideas?

Platies do poo a lot more than danios, that's normal. They are pretty well non-stop snackers - even if the danios hog the food at dinnertime, she will be helping herself to leftovers and algae in the tank throughout the day- and of course what goes in must come out. Females also poo more when they are about to give birth, so if she is fat that is a possibility.
