what is the perfect salt water s.g for a nano reef with coral and fish please
 
1.026 is what most people have. 1.025 is fine, too.
 
i've been arround the 1.023 mark recently like
 
1.023 is usually ok for most corals/inverts and is fine for all fish. Running higher (1.027+) is far dangerous than running low
 
agreed. make sure if you realize that you're running too high or low you dont panic and try and raise or lower it at once. Its usually a good idea to gradually do so over a couple of days.
 
i'm up to about 1.025 now so i'll eave it at that for now and see how i go
 
Also, always consider verifying your measuring device. Either against a home-made standard or against a sample taken to the LFS if you trust them
