People With Sand Instead Of Stones

Hey guys,

not sure if this is the right place to post this but....

Im thinking about putting sand in one of my tanks instead of stones...i was wondering how you would do a full water change with the sand in the tank?

Why would you do a full water change? (guessing that by "full" you mean 100%).

The largest water change you should do is 50% and then only in emergencies really, weekly water changes of 10 to 25% are usually adequate for any reasonably stocked aquarium.

yes i dont do full water changes often and haven't yet on my main aquarium, but i mean, IF i need to do a full water change.

I do about 20% water changes weekly already

If you needed to do a full water change you would just do it exactly the same way as you would with gravel, if the need had arisen to do a full water change disturbing the sand would be the last thing to worry about.
