i have frozen peas that i wish to feed to my fish, other than unfreezing them, how best do you prepare peas for fish?

Boil for 2 mins, then place in cold water, peal and feed, although I have found no trouble feeding them with skins I usually only feed them when I have had them in meal, so maybe they're more squishy (making them more digestable) or maybe because of the general large size of my fish the skins pass straight through, no harm done?

i put them in a cup of cold water and microwave them for 30 seconds on high. then i wait for the water to cool before scooping up the peas and deshelling them.

i then cut them into small pieces for smaller fish or leave them whole for larger fish, and drop them into the tank.

I'll have to try that, sounds easier

When i have fed my Betta pea i just cook myself some normally and save one for him. Peel it and break it into smaller bits with my finger nails.

I just put the frozen ones in the microwave for about 20-30s. Let them cool, then squeeze out the soft inside.

nothing at all, fish don't tend to have cookers, so there seems little point in any form of cooking. pop them out of their skins, these make quite a mess if you don't, and drop them in. simple as that, and if you don't cook them, they will still have some real nutritional value when the fish get them. same goes for any veg, cooking even par boiling, does them no good, and does nothing to help the fish. if you need to make it sink, add some weights. if the fish don't go for it right away, leave it in for a day of three, this will have little or no effect on you water quality, unless you have very poor filtration. to be honest the comment "makes them more digestible", makes little sense, as it seem daft to say fish cant eat uncooked veg as that is all they get in nature!
