I've read that if your betta isn't eating to try to give it frozen peas.. Do they have to be frozen? Could they come from a canned pea & carrot mix?

I've always learned that frozen veggies were better for people anyways- as canned are pre-cooked with alot of the nutrients cooked out. Frozen peas have more fiber which is what you're aiming for. It sure is easier to extract the meat out of a canned pea and then you don't have to dethaw anything. I just hold the frozen ones in my hand and they dethaw pretty fast with body temperature. Got a bag in the freezer with the zip lock top thing going on.

frozen peas are better because they have less salt and other additives than canned peas. I cook mine in aquarium water in the microwave for a few seconds and let them cool before shelling and feeding small bits to the bettas.
