Hi i have a peacock eel i just need to know,
what they eat?

and all others that they require. thanks

Anything meaty, shrimp, krill, bloodworms, guppies, tubiflex worms, etc.. Some have said they will take shrimp pellets and flakes but I've not been able to get mine to eat that yet.

ive herd that they can eat worms from ur garden is that true?

If the worms are small enough however I feed store bought nightcrawlers that I know have not been subjected to chemicals.

We've had ours a few years and it will only eat 2 things, earthworms from the garden and frozen bloodworms.Seems to do fine despite such a limited diet and grown well too. :D :D
I noticed when feeding that it has needle like spines it can raise along it's back.Don't know if this is to warn other fish off, or not, but don't think it would be a good idea to handle one. :-(

I dont have peacock but do have fire eel, body and head look same.
Mine eats earth worms small or choped to 1" 1, 1/2" bits, and blood worms both are taken from my hand its realy nice. He's about 7 or 8 inches long at presant. I'm still learning new stuff about him all time.
Lovely looking things. 8)

my friend john has them, they only eat blood worms, he has tryed to feed them other things, but they love blood worms so much they will eat them right out of your hand, its realy cute
