Peacock Bass Just Died

We have only had the peacock bass for 4 months. All of the levels in our tank are perfect. He was acting fine and then just kind of wacked out and started floating upside down. We have a puffer fish in the tank with him and he did try to eat it (which he has done before) could that have caused it?

Puffer fish can be poisonous, could be that's what happened.

I'm don't have anything to add, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry about your fish. Fish death is the bad part of the hobby.

As mentioned what kind of Puffer Fish is it? If the P Bass was eating tank mates you have to be careful with what you keep it with. Though its natural for a predator like a bass to eat other fish in a tank its generally not the main aim.
 
What other fish do you have and how big is the tank?
