Hello Bemji. A Peace Lilly really isn't going to live very long in a strictly water environment. It doesn't have a root system made for water only. The best house plant for your aquarium is Chinese Evergreen or Aglaonema. It has a root system made for just water. It doesn't need any soil. I have one in a 55 gallon tank. It works as a natural water filter, removing all forms of nitrogen from the tank water. So Thers a peace Lilly in my hous if I got trimmings would it be fine to put them in my aquarium with the leave poking out and let it grow Thers already pothos in ther
Thanks
yes, if it is not going well it is very easy to just put it in a dirt potOne way to find out! I recommend giving it a try. Just keep a very close eye on it, and remove the plant at the first sign of wilting or rotting.

I have these little pieces with the roots still attachedHi Benji K,
Did you divide the plant at the root or just take a cutting? A peace lily will live if you divide a larger plant at the root. A simple cutting will not live and over time will foul your water. A peace lily can live in water (no soil), but the roots must be kept wet and the leaves cannot be submerged.
