curious if anyone has ever had a flower produce seed ( I assume actually get pollinated ), and tried to plant the seeds??? I was dead heading old flowers the other day, and I found one that actually turned into a seed pod... I saved it, rather than putting it in the trash, like the rest of the dried flowers... not sure if I'll do anything with it or not, as my plants are all outgrowing the tanks they are in... I think most people split them up, to make more... I may experiment with the seeds just to see if they'll grow hydroponically, from seed

It would be a neat experiment to get news of as it goes along.

I was looking at my 2 potted peace lilies, planted when I split up plants rooted in tanks. They've become big, though only a quarter of the size of the ones in my 75 gallons. I can't save any more of these plants - I have 7 along the back of my African gourami 40 gallon, and the ones in the 75s. Windows. I need more windows.

Peace lilies are the most successful of my roots in plants, although in the old house, I had massive Boston ferns. All the other plants grown that way are doing well, but for bulk, peace lilies are hard to beat.

I'm getting good growth with 3 pitcher plants right now. They aren't roots in, but the pots have damp toes.

yes, we have a couple in dirt, upstairs, and I have 8 of them growing out of tanks, 6 along the back wall of my South American Tetra tank, and 2 in my African Tetra tank, which should get split up, so I don't need any more... but I've never had a pod with actual seeds in it before, even with so many plants, and this, from a tank, rather than a dirted pot... Mrs. has a little trailer she sells crafts from... maybe I can set her up with a "flat" of small peace lilies to sell from her trailer this summer...

I've seen seeds here, but it would be kind of like finding pond snail seeds at this point.
