Pasting Word Doc Help

I just discovered the icon that allows one to "Paste From Word." My current article is in word and I was excited thinking the formatting etc. would all be preserved. So I clicked the icon and was told my browser setting do not permit using this function.
 
I am happy to make a temporary change to them so I can upload the files but I have no clue what settings are the issue. If anybody might know it would be a huge help.

Maybe one for admin - didn't know it was possible so haven't tried it

That button is designed to strip the document of it's formatting. So it does the exact opposite of what you thought it did. 
 
This is because Word formatting is pretty much bad and needs to be removed. Sadly what needs to be done is the text pasted and the formatting added using the form tools for bold, font size, color, etc.
