I just visited a fish store near the city and they had a fish marked as "red devil x synspillum". I thought that these two species crossed to form red parrots? I am really tempted to go buy this fish but would it be safe with my conventional parrots? The fish in question looked like a young synspillym with sharper mouth and pretty vivid colours for a female. The guy in the shop said he had some of its siblings at home and that they were becoming quite spectacular. Is this basically a flowerhorn? Would any of you buy it?

I'd probably buy it if I had the space... weird hybrids are always interesting to buy when they're young..

Just to see what they'll look like when they grow up.

I've seen rose queens before... the ones I've seen looked like purple-ish colored red devils...

I wasn't really impressed with the ones I saw.
