Parent trouble, give reasons why

Can I keep 5 or so guppies platys etc (ie. small fish) in my 11 litre tank?

Well, Breakthrough! My mum suggested we all save up and get a biiig tank for downstairs! Although I have absolutely no idea where it would go, the only rooms we could really have it in is either the conservatory or the back room, and the conservatory gets really cold and the cats live there at night, and the back room either means not getting a very large tank or finding a new home for the table. But anyway, I'll try to get the Ad trader or something tonight, you never know, a few weeks back there was a 12 UK gallon tank with most accesories for £25!

Good luck, glad they have come round, tanks can look stunning in a room, try and get quite a big one, there better.

sorry double posted.

Let the rents know that a BIG tank can hold a stable temp longer and is actually no more work, hour wise, then a small one. I actually spend less time keeping after my 112 liter then I do on the 54 liter. Having twenty fish of several types lets you observe many different interactions and can hone your skills as an observational scientist. So you see it is really quite educational to keep fish. :p

AWESOME! I'm glad they came through for you... Here in the States, you can get a new small wattage heater for $20 US (which is 16 or 17 UK Pounds, I think). Since odds are good the tank will go into the conservatory, you may want to go on ahead and save up for that as well. Or just buy goldfish... ;)
