Hi, I suspect there may be some kind of parasite/worm that has infected my female cockatoo dwarf cichlid as her poo is entirely transparent and very long, she's just sitting in a coconut cave constantly but no other symptoms and I can't see anything else online that resembles it!

Anyway I filled out one of these :) I hope you can help!

What do you feed your fish and how often? Any swelling? Anything else sticking out of her backside, other than poo?

Feed frozen daphnia/bloodworm/brineshrimp/whiteworm and flake food / frog pellets.
Nothing else coming out doesn't look like camallanus :( can't see any swelling either.

Anyone? Really hoping to try get some meds for it tomorrow really don't want it to get worse!
Thanks

Did they recently have a disease because mine did that for weeks after they healed

No, they haven't :( I've read that anaerobic antibiotics will work and not affect the filter, does anyone know any that are available in the uk?

Thanks

How often do you feed your fish? What quantities?

Did you add any new plants, food or décor to the aquarium in the last 4-6 weeks?

Does she have a sunken belly?

At the moment, it sounds like constipation.
