Pandas Not Schooling?

Corys are supposed to be schooling fish aren't they? I have 4 adult sized Panda Corys in my tank, and they never hang out together. Is there something missing? I realise 4 isn't enough, but my lfs didn't have any more. They're about 5cm long, the first ones I had were only 2 cm max, 3 were doa and the other 2 died shortly after acclimation so the lfs sent me some replacements but they don't seem to care about each other. They're happy sitting on the sand and digging around, but never really hang out. Is there something I can do to make them happier?

While Corys are a shoaling fish when on the move in their natural habitat, it is not at all uncommon for small groups in an aquarium to not do so. They stick close together when frightened, so having them do their own individual thing just means that they are comfortable. Additionally, they go through phases - sometimes inseparable, other times true loners. It has nothing to do with anything you are or are not doing. Just let them do their thing. Thanks Frank I'm glad to know they're happy, I love watching them sift through the sand and they even clean my plants!
