I seen my pandas doing the t position a few days ago, quite comical has they were suspended in mid air, anyway i couldn't see whether they spawned has i had the lights off...the following morning i happened to come across one solo egg,now i know the tri's haven't spawned, and the egg was newly laid and fertile...

Fingers crossed its a panda egg, still another day or so to wait yet

Hi Harlequins :)

C. panda eggs are relatively large and will turn dark before they hatch. This is what they look like. The most freshly spawned are on the right and the older ones are to the left.

Hi Inch:
Do many of your Cories lay their eggs on the metal thermometers?
TIA

Hi jelloz :)

Yes, they all do. I don't keep plants in the spawning tank, just the thermometers. Once in a while I'll find a few on the glass but not very often. Before I discovered that they will do this, they would spawn on the glass or plants and the eggs were almost always eaten before I could remove them.

I have a 55 gallon tank dedicated to pandas but rarely get eggs from it although I know they are spawning because I see one every now and then. The ones I do get are from a breeding group in my 10 gallon tank which I rotate every few weeks. I run an air driven box filter in it which keeps the water circulating nicely, but I removed it to take the picture. :)

WOW! Thanks. This is news to me. This would make things a lot easier for me.
Now all I have to do is train them to lay their eggs on the metal thermometers. :)
