Pale Neons

Hello all!

I've noticed the my neons are pale and have almost no color when I turn the light on in the morning. After about 5 minutes they regain thier vibrant color and seem ok. Is this normal? This is my first tank and I've had these guys for a couple weeks now, I hope they're ok

Yep, Normal Behaviour, Neone tend to fade during the night and brighten up when the Light is back on.

Hey Danny,

Your neons are fine. When it's dark, they just kinda tone down their colours a bit so they don't stand out so much. My cardinals have a lovely time changing their shadings, too, and so long as they come up a good colour within a while of the light coming on, it's nothing to worry about.

Rofl, what great names!! Haha, my poor cardinals are just "the cardinals". My grandma told me it's blasphemous, though, because she's really religious & Cardinals are like one step down from being a (Catholic) Pope, I think, lol.
