Oxygen tablets, do they work

Do oxygen tablets work? My tank has just finished it's cycle, adding my first 5 fish tomorrow as it will be the 4th day of setting my rank up used bio start quick start de chlorine ect to give it an added boost.

Just curious to know of oxygen tablets work as my tank is in my bedroom, I can sleep through the noise of the filter but I have also added and oxygen pump to increase the oxygen levels in the tank, which makes it rather loud and hard to sleep through, so i was curious to know if oxygen tablets work as I would just turn the air pump off overnight add oxygen tablets to get them through the night then turn the oxygen pump back on in the morning, if this isn't suitble then I guess I'll just have to deal with it and get used to it, just wanted to know before I make any devisions, please remember this is my first ever set up so any help and advice is welcome and apprichiated

Oxygen pump? You probably mean air pump, these don't put oxygen in the water but what they do do is agitate the water surface where the transference of gases occur.

What filter / air pump do you have that is so noisy that you can't sleep?
