Overuse of root tabs

Hey all,
Got some more swords today, and these obviously need some root tabs. I had just put a batch in about 2 and a half weeks ago, and the package advises to use once a month. Could I put in just one or two root tabs with these new swords?

Depends on what type of algae. Algae forms from either to much nutrients, or to much light.

Algae is actually very beneficial(as long as your plants are fine)

Yea I just have like 4 or 5 little patches of brown and black algae, is it bad for my fish?
