Hi there! I recently bought a 55 gallon aquarium and was wondering if this was overstocked:
- 4 angelfish (2 pairs)
- 1 African leaf fish
- 5 black skirt tetras
- 2-4 corydoras
- 4 gourami
Is this overstocked?

Not necessarily overstocked but there could be compatibility issues.

Black skirt/ widow tetras are renown fin nippers that shouldn't be kept with slow moving fish or fish with long fins.

Leaf fish get big and will eat small fish like tetras.

I agree with Colin.
Keeping Fin nipper with slowing moving fish is equal keeping Camel & Polar Bear at the same time's. Not compatible at all.

Angelfish can be quite aggressive when keeping with smaller mates. I would suggest to removed tetra to another tank as they can be an fin nipper and angel’s food.
