Today I was doing a major cleaning since I slacked off last week, did a full gravel clean, cleaned media, and a %60 change. I took out all the fish to not bury any during the G/C, or smack one onto the glass and kill while filling tank (hose has a high water pressure). I was curious and measured all 36 fish in my 29 USG. I know in the future I will be over stocked because of the HRPs. So tell me whats best to remove right now. Need quick answer because going to LFS tomorrow.

I am keeping the the my pair of BN and HRP. I might keep one of the HRP babies. I'm kepping the Con bc its a female and everything else can leave or stay.

it seems very overstocked and i am just concerned that you are keeping a convict thats like 2 or 3 inches with those other fish.

Your tank is extremely overstocked. I can't come to a conclusion on how the fish are even managing to stay healthy with all them mixed in such a small tank. You haven't noticed any aggression at all? I'm not trying to be rude or anything but I think you should defiantly get rid of all but your what you absolute must have :/ Are you sure your going to have room for breeding fish?

your convict may be fine now, but when she grows up, she'll be like a pirhanna. she may even grow little teeth. you better take it out of your tank. your fish's growth will undoubtably be stunted, your ammonia will be over the top, you will need to do another water change every second, ect... ill give you an idea. my tank is probably overstocked and i have like 12 or 11 fish in there. thats less than a third of what you have. i hate to tell people to give up their fish, and i especially hate doing it myself, but just keep what you really like, get rid of at least 15 and you'll probably get store credit @ like petco or petsmart or something.oh and fyi you have 9 convicts in there- thats what honduran red points are.

The HRPs are not aggresive, only to the cats an bns. If the other fish get within an area of the eggs, then the are flared at and thats enough to make them leave. Tomorrow, I'n getting rid of the 3 male HRP i have raised. The big male, and female are staying indefiantly. The nStriped Rapheals will grow but, I do plan to have a 4 foot tank with 6 months, which gives me room with them. I'm just glad my cons a female, not as aggresive as a male. I might end up just keeping the male, BNs, cats, and medium school of black widows. Serpaes are to easy to stress, I had a school of 8 but, as soon as one get stress its ganged up on by HRPs. Everythings calm, way its set up now, everything open, have a few plants that should fill in with time, and only chase I see is my Rapheals.
