i sit and look at my tank everynight while watching tv, i often sit up close to it checking all my fish making sure there ok or not ill, but sumtimes i swear it gets to the point where ur checking so much you start thinking your fish have something wrong with them when in fact there perfectly fine, i jsut wondered if im the only one seeing things that dont exist.

Last night i was certain my armourd rock shrimp was dead, i hadent seen him for 4 days, infact he was jsut sat under a piece of wood.

I like to get in a full head count at least once a day if I can. Even if I don't get it done all at once...

I do the head count thing too. I think a daily check is important, otherwise something could take over before you see it.

That's exactly what I do. Head count every night before I go to sleep.

i do a head count every day, *** neons give me a scare just about every day haha.

back when i kept Dwarf puffers in a rediculously heavily planted tank id go a few days with out being able to find my puffers

Check on a morning and at night when i come home from work.

Have got the fish into a routine of expecting food when i stand infront of the tank so they know to move up the tank for food =-) easy way of coutning when )they are begging for food =-)

not over protective, however head count is what we should all do, quick glace for any signs or difference in behaviour, also give's you

a chance to make sure filter and heating are all working, should all take second's once you get to know your fish.....

But as to feeding my fish never know when there food's coming actually nor do i  i feed my fish on a random basis...

Yep me to - they are my babies and I love each and every one of them!

Get home from work, light's on, feeding time, watch the fish and head count. The only ones that cause me a head ache is the otto's. I treat it as not being over protective but being a responsible pet owner, just wish there were more like us. :good:

I do the head count at feeding time in the morning (pretty easy to count them when they all are hungry  ) and at night before turning the light off. I end up counting multiple times through out the day though, just to be sure.

i find that the tank is taking over my life im addicted to this website and looking in my tank for ages every day looking for stuff my girlfriend goes nuts!!!!!! on that bloody website again thats what i get
