Just wanted to share our babies with you.

We had one of our Platy's ina hospital tank but she was better and had been for a week or so, so it was time to move her back to the main tank, but when we looked late last night we saw she had given birth, we managed to count about 10 fry, so cute , so decided tonight to but her back in the main tank, give the hospital tank a clean and let the babies live in there. We thought it would be easier to catch them all first before cleaning as we didn't want to hover any up, this is what we ended up with

Think we miss counted last night and this morning we now think there are between 60-65 little ones

Yeah i think you miss counted. LOL Congrates on all the babies. I'm starting think something is wrong with my fish since my molly only had 14 and my guppy 6. Course some might have gotten eaten since both decided to wait until i wasn't looking to give birth. GGGRRR waiting impaitently for my other molly to give birth.

I do know what you mean, we normally let the Platy's give birth in the main tanks so we never really know how many they have as there are a lot of mouth happy to snap up a quick snack We have never had more than 6 survive before.

all i can say is wow how cute soooo many fry,my platy only had 5, but all three females gave birth the same week,plus my guppy had 11 today,what will you do with them all ,i wonder what colour they will be?,

Not 100% what we will do with all of them I guess we will have to wait and see how many survive its early days, I don’t think they are much more than a day old. Their mum is a gold comet and I think she was in the family way when we got her so I am hoping the dad was a gold comet as well, and that the babies are the same, but any colour is fine with me as long as some survive I just love watching them grow
