Our Christmas Tree

It certainly is a fat tree!

Out of curiosity do you (or does anyone) know the name of the thing on top of your tree? I have one at home and it's my mams and when I was in Germany last christmas they were EVERYWHERE but my German friend had no idea what they were?

Does anyone know what they are called and what they symbolise?

They're just called 'tree toppers' and one of the reasons people use them is that they have no symbolism attached to them, unlike stars or angels :good:

I call our tree topper "George"

I hope he doesn't have to stay there for the whole of the holidays!

He would have done by choice! He loves sitting in trees lol, normally its only the summer he gets to go in a tree outside lol

He loved swinging about up there and lording it over the room of people and crazy tinsel and xmas music lol. I threatened to make him wings and a hat but my mum said i was just plain cruel!

I had to look closely so see if it was a real lizard! Lol that is great!! I wish I had one from my kitties first xmas. Caught chub chub at the very top!

Is that true? I'd seen them called tree toppers but then angels and stars etc are also classed as tree-toppers, but I'll go with your explanation :) Thank you :)
