In spawning tank
pH 7.4
temp 26 C
KH 2 degrees
GH 7 degrees
Nitrates approx 10 - 20 ppm
Ammonia and Nitrites 0
In rearing tank
Same as above but with a temp of 27 C
There are live plants (they spawned on valllis and ludwigia) in the main tank and there are 7 otos in total. They seem to eat mainly diatoms as there are five rocks covered in the stuff in the tank.
They spawned during the early evening, placing the sticky eggs (approx .75mm long yellow ovals at time of laying) on the underside of leaves.
Unfortunately I was away for 4 days after the spawning so when I returned there were 4 fry from the 6 eggs that I transfered to the rearing tank.
Hope that helps.
