i have 2 otos in my guppy 10gal. an i LOVE what they did to it i was wonderign how many it would take to clean a 20 long gal with 10tigerbarbs. PM me to tell me cuz im not on that much an this will prolly be lost by the time im next on

Most tanks dont provide enough algae for a lot of ottos, its a combination of you and the tank feeding them.

Yes, make sure you continuosly feed them now they have emptied your tank of algae! Have a read of the couple of pinned articles around TFF to get an idea of what to feed them!

For starters, some fresh cucumber, and those specifically designed algae wafers would be great. Pretty much everyday, because without a sufficient diet, they will waste away!

They are terrific fish, and sounds like your very happy with them! Congrats! I found some at my LFS, but they are quite expensive!

lol quite expensive? i found mine at walmart for like 3$ each labled ALGAE EATERS an knew what they were right away cuz i was think about getting them the week b4 but couldnt find any so i jus did some resurch. but any ways. i am moving them around my tanks as the cleaning crew now they are working on my tigerbarb tank an they are starting to look kinda blump. an i have added 2 algea wafers for them sence i first started this topic but they didnt pay much attention. an so far they are REALLY active. i love them an they chase eachother around so fun to watch them try to swim like normal fish too cuz they like swim with their head held up high an kinda wiggle their whole body to move next week they go into the betta 10gal !
